Milanoa Black | Short Satin Dress w/ Cape

Ok so, I don't write a lot of reviews but when I pulled this dress out, chaos ensued and I feel I owe it to this incredible business to share my story... First off, I am a highly educated person and think of myself as slightly above average intelligence so when I tell you that it took an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to put the dress on because of the cape, I mean it; every second longer it took, brought me more shame. Once on though? DAMN. I immediately felt the need to zoom around the house like a dog with unspent energy because the cape literally flapped behind me like a super hero. This was not something I considered when I purchased this at 2am when I could not sleep but have 0 regrets. It was a bit shorter than I imagined but I dress like a mormon-adjacent individual most days so it still covered everything, even when bending over so it passed the "catholic mom in the 90s" test. It is very flattering in all the areas most women have been told to feel badly about their whole lives so you can rock this with all the confidence we should feel on a daily basis if it was not for the patriarchy. This store has never disappointed me with anything I have ever ordered and I have been buying from them for over 10 years. Apparently it took a cape and the questioning of my intelligence when putting on the dress for me to finally write a review but thank you 1861 for making me look ravishing and making my partner question their choices in life (me being one of those unfortunate choices)!

Even prettier than I had imagined! The cape makes me feel so fancy! Measurements are accurate, the fabric is flowy and will sit perfectly once it's been through the wash and wrinkles are gone.
